"Between the head and feet of any given person is a billion miles of unexplored wilderness." ~ Gabrielle Roth
5Rhythms is Dance Meditation practice where we connect and put into movement our body, heart and mind. One step closer to our true free ecstatic self!
“freeing the body
expressing the heart
emptying the mind
awakening the soul
embodying the spirit”
I invite you to take a deep dive into the Spirit of the Rhythms, to listen and connect under the surface with a gift of each of the five while moving into the Waves.
Freedom is a practice, come practice freeing your body, it tells stories full of magic and possibilities if we only trust.
Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness, and awareness into action. Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free.
On a journey through 5Rhythms maps there is a guide, and in Groningen it’s me, Mia Arneric. I want to create a safe space and a community that allows all of us to be just who we are, with our lights and shadows, a space where we can take a collective breath and put all our everyday masks to rest. Finally, I enjoy diving into the immense music treasure and creating sound waves to guide our bodies in all kinds of effortless and intuitive ways!
